Mesothelioma is one of the deadliest diseases known to man, however, it is 100% preventable. Mesothelioma gets its name from the fact that it affects the mesothelial cells that make up the mesothelium - the outer linning that protects the body's major organs like heart, lungs stomach etc.
The only known cause of Mesothelioma is exposure to mineral Asbestos. It is caused due to asbestos dust that enters the body through inhalation and as the asbestos degrades within the body it eats away the linning of the lungs and developing into a deadly cancer.
